Excessive Speed on Lichfield Road Sandhills
We ask Walsall Council to put in place measures to effectively control the excessive speeds reached by vehicles travelling in both directions on the A461 Lichfield Road between Shire Oak Junction and the Walsall Borough Boundary.
This 1km section of residential road has a speed limit of 40 MPH, however independent monitoring equipment is currently recording and logging hundreds of vehicles being driven, both day and night, at speeds reaching as high as 116 MPH.
We further request that Walsall Council agree their total commitment and assistance in the prosecution of offenders under the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, s89(1)
