Bloxwich Library open. Although we understand the budget cuts coming from
central government means that savings have to be made, we believe that Bloxwich
library theatre is an asset to our town and very well used by people not just
from Bloxwich, but across the whole of Walsall.

A paper petition with regard to this matter was submitted to Council on 9 January 2017. As the signatures to the e-petition and the paper petition bring the number to over 500 the matter will be submitted to the Council’s Corporate and Public Services Overview and Scrutiny Committee. Council’s petitions scheme states: If a petition contains at least 500 signatories the relevant senior officer will give evidence at a public meeting of one of the Council’s Overview and Scrutiny Committees. It is proposed that the Executive Director for Economy and Environment will report to the next meeting of the Committee to be held on Tuesday 21 February 2017. The meeting commences at
6.00 p.m. and will be held in a Conference Room at the Council House, Lichfield Street, Walsall.
